Welcome to the page dedicated to the brands and labels of Saint-Lary, an exceptional destination in the heart of the Pyrenees. Whether you’re looking for nature, adventure or well-being, our village and its surrounding area are renowned for their commitment to excellence and sustainability.

Thanks to the involvement of the Tourist Office and its local partners, Saint-Lary has been awarded several labels and certifications, guaranteeing quality, respect for the environment and services adapted to all publics. These awards testify to our ambition to make Saint-Lary an authentic, welcoming and responsible destination.

Label Qualité Confort-Hébergement Saint-Lary

The Tourist Office has created this label to promote the destination’s tourist real estate.

This in-house label for Saint-Lary complements the ministerial classification of “furnished tourist accommodation”, which has certain advantages, particularly tax advantages, but does not fully meet the comfort criteria demanded by customers.

This Quality approach is the impetus for a move upmarket in the quality of our accommodation.

A new national label: Destination d’Excellence

Since May 2024, the Qualité Tourisme™ mark has been replaced by the new national Destination d’Excellence (DEX) label.
This label strengthens the quality approach across the entire tourism offering:

    • accommodation
    • catering
    • places to visit and leisure activities,
    • transport,
    • tourist information centres, including tourist offices.

As well as promoting a warm, professional welcome, Destination d’Excellence places the emphasis on :

    • eco-responsibility
    • sustainable flow management
    • the overall quality of the visitor experience,
    • actively listening to visitors’ needs.

GREEN STATION

Station Verte is a tourist label created in 1964 by the French Federation of Green Resorts and Snow Villages. A Station Verte is an area in the heart of the terroir, recognised at national level as an organised resort offering meaningful holidays, promoting natural, authentic, human and environmentally-friendly tourism.

Fishing station

A unique positioning for green resorts.

The Fishing Resort label allows you to discover and enjoy fishing at all levels, thanks to specially adapted routes that respect the aquatic environment.

A Fishing Resort has all the facilities you need to fish in the best possible conditions: fishing activities, loan of equipment or boats, on-site fishing accommodation.

Fishing resorts also offer a host of events and festivities in the local area.

Disabled tourism

The “Tourisme & Handicap” label, created in 2001, aims to provide reliable and descriptive information on the accessibility of tourist sites and facilities for people with disabilities.

Saint-Lary takes into account the four types of disability (hearing, mental, visual and motor) in order to develop and offer tourist facilities suitable for all.

Family Plus

The Famille Plus label guarantees a successful holiday for young and old alike. Taking into account the expectations and needs of both parents and children, the towns and villages that have been awarded the label offer something for everyone, so they can all enjoy a great time together.

Towns and Villages in Bloom

Villes et Villages Fleuris – Obtaining the regional “2nd Flower” label in 2021 On 5 August 2021, the Mayor, the elected representatives and the technical services received the jury of the regional association of “Villes et Villages Fleuris ” with a view to obtaining a 2nd Flower.lus and the technical services team met with the panel of judges from the regional association of towns and villages in bloom (Villes et villages fleuris) with a view to obtaining a 2nd Flower.

The commune is aiming for a 3rd Flower, confirming its desire to continue beautifying the village and reinforcing its commitment to preserving biodiversity.

Cycling city

The Tour de France ‘sVille à Vélo label is a label launched in 2021 by Amaury Sport Organisation and more specifically by Tour de France. Its aim is to encourage all initiatives taken by local authorities to promote cycling in everyday life.

Awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the “Ville et Pays d’Art et d’Histoire” label maintains a network of more than 160 towns offering their French know-how. This label is awarded to areas that bring their heritage to life and promote it, while ensuring architectural quality and the quality of life.

The Aure and Louron valleys have held the “Ville et Pays d’Art et d’Histoire” label since 10 January 2008.

The Esprit parc national brand recognises the men and women in the national parks who share their passion for their territory, their know-how and nature.

The awarding of the brand attests that the products and services on offer are part of an ecological process that preserves biodiversity and heritage. Esprit parc national is a registered trademark owned by the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB), and is used in all 11 of France’s national parks.

The local products, accommodation, restaurants, activities and outings are located exclusively in the 11 national parks.
