St Lary, the home of Pyrenean cycling

Saint-Lary hosts many cycling events. Come and visit the most popular passes of the Pyrenees!
If cycling is your thing, it's here you'll find happiness at last! The village, scene of the finishing line of the mountain stages to Pla d'Adet in the legendary Tour de France, is the starting point for lots of wonderful cycling trips. The great Pyrenean passes are all open to two wheelers: the Col d'Azet, Hourquette d'Ancizan, Peyresourde, Aspin and Tourmalet surrounding the Aure valley.

Besides the Tour de France, which has stopped over more than a dozen times in Saint-Lary Soulan since 1974 and the victory of Poulidor at the Pla d'Adet, lots of cycling events call in here, including the "Ronde des Vélos" and the "Pyrenéenne". In the village you will find all the facilities you expect - spa, gym, etc., while accommodation always has a secure lock up for bikes and equipment and offer menus tailored to athletes. The diversity things to do in the village is a big plus for people accompanying the cyclists, so they can fully enjoy their stay in the Aure valley!
