Children and beginners area

A space recently refurbished

to accommodate beginners…

But that’s not all! The domain extends over 100 km and has many surprises in store.

THE PLA D'ADET

Directly accessible from the village center via our cable car

There are of course ski schools,a toboggan run or snow games. This part dedicated to beginners is bordered by a boardwalk so that companions can follow their progress. These beginner’s slopes, including the school plateau and the kidpark, are served by large covered mats. The kidpark is a playful ski course reserved for children aged 6 to 12.

The budding skiers will find an animated course of obstacles, mini-bumps type “woops”, halfpipe, playful terminals and animal characters.

The Patou Park is a fun course set up for 6/12 year olds but also welcomes adults.

600 meters of course to play in a warm and offbeat atmosphere. Slide like real little riders on snow modules: woops, banked turns, tables, characters, themed markers, chimes, jumps… A space entirely dedicated to action!”

Altitude sectors

Espiaube

This is an intermediate sector that starts at 1650 m (at the Espiaube parking lots). It is both a transition sector since it is crossed by blue or red runs to access the upper parts of the resort, and a rather sporty sector with very nice red and black runs located for many in the forest on a northern slope.

You can also eat there and enjoy a nice sunny terrace!!

The Vallon du Portet

A real gem since this high altitude sector, located above 2000m, offers both a wide range of slopes, optimal sunshine and a 360° view of the Pyrenees. We are here at the border of the National Park when we reach the lake of L’Oule. There are altitude restaurants also accessible by chairlift to non-skiers, the Snowpark as well as a 3 kms cross-country ski trail.

Good skiers, but also beginner skiers, will find trails of their levels!

And finally...Here, the beginner is not forced to stay at the bottom of the slopes!

One of the big assets of the Saint-Lary ski area is that it was designed so that the whole family, whatever their level, can enjoy the whole area and meet up for lunch at one of the high-altitude restaurants, for example!

So, in addition to being served by many lifts open to pedestrians, the area offers plenty of possibilities for circulation on “blue”alternatives to the difficult slopes so that good skiers and skilled skiers can enjoy the most beautiful sites of the resort together in all three sectors!
