Beginners and children's area
At Saint-Lary 1700, also known as "Pla d'Adet," the snow front has been totally refurbished and expanded to accommodate a large space for beginners and children. Here you'll find ski schools, daycare, the Piou-Piou club, toboggan runs, the beginners slope, the school park and Kidpark, all served by wide, covered rolling carpet lifts. The surroundings of this area are accessible to accompanying pedestrians by a wide wooden promenade, with all amenities nearby — bars, restaurants with terraces, a newsagent and tobacconist, supermarket, spa centre, ski rental companies, and everything else you'll need.
The "piou-piou" club, snow garden
Little skiers (from 3 years up). The French Ski School in Saint-Lary 1700 (Pla d'Adet) hosts the smallest beginners for the abc of the world of snow. At the end of the week, children are awarded the "Piou-Piou" prize to the delight of all.

The LEISURE CENTRE has a transport and drop-off service if your child has a skiing lesson while they are visiting the leisure centre.
This excellent training area recently underwent major earthworks in order to increase its capacity by more than 30%. It is composed of a training slope served by wide, covered carpet lifts, a wooden walkway along the slope for accompanying persons, a wide green piste winding along the snow front, and the pedestrian promenade which is served by shuttle buses. Beginners then move on to the Kidpark before taking the chairlift the blue pistes of Soum de Matte.
Unique in the Pyrenees, playful ski courses for children from 6 to 12 years. Budding skiers will find an obstacle course, mini-moguls, "woops," a halfpipe and loads of animal characters. A rolling carpet lift for easy upward journeys, all under the watchful gaze of two expert facilitators. Access with a valid pass.
Saint-Lary 1700 (Pla d'Adet): One luge for toddlers and another for older children or their mums and dads.
In Saint-Lary 1900 (Espiaube): A luge for older children. Plenty of places for parents to stand and watch the kids have fun.
